How to enhance self control?

A few years back, I was suffering from severe depression. After a lot of struggle, I muster up all my courage and secretly started taking counseling sessions with psychiatrists. She used to listen to me thoroughly and then used to ask different questions. Those questions are not important to mention here as this is a matter of confidentiality of my matter. However, I want to tell you something really important that she once said to me.  Every Friday I was supposed to note myself regarding things that hurt me and bother me and then jot down those things and discuss them with her. She then after counseling used to suggest to me a lot of good tips that I have to follow till the next session.  Today, randomly, I was scrolling through my diary and I found this beautiful quote that she mentioned. Why Microorganisms are so tiny?



Like everyday I was thinking wildly while taking shower. A random thought came in mind and I thank Allah Almighty for that. Many of you can laugh on my thought but it's a point to ponder. Why Allah has made microorganisms so micro and tiny that we can't see them. We are aware of their presence. We have discovered them. Everyone knows that more than 200 species of bacteria exist on our skin that is being considered as normal flora of the human body. They can only harm us when either their quantity and virulence increase or human immune system is not stronger enough to combat those bacteria or microorganisms. 
Just imagine for a second that you are able to see these tiny creatures. It's really scary. Wherever you will see these microorganisms will look like clusters of insects moving here and there. On your utensils, hands, mouth, face, lips, your computer keys, your spoon. In short, each and everything we use and see. I am just thinking about the girls like who even hate a lizard in their room. This surely be a blessing from Allah.
Otherwise these creature could have increase the chances of anxiety may be 100 times. Prevalence could have increased on an uncontrollable rate of Germaphobia.
